Sobraon Barracks
Sobraon Barracks is a military installation in Lincoln, England. It is currently occupied by the 160 (Lincoln) Squadron Royal Logistic Corps .
==History==
The "old barracks" in Burton Road, Lincoln, were constructed in 1857 and are now home to the Museum of Lincolnshire Life.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Museum of Lincolnshire Life: History )〕
In 1890 the "new barracks" were built in the Fortress Gothic Revival Style to the north of the old barracks on Burton Road: the new barracks became the home of the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Sobraon Barracks )〕 In 1953 the new barracks were renamed "Sobraon Barracks" after the Battle of Sobraon, a confrontation which had taken place during the First Anglo-Sikh War.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Sobraon Barrack Stroll )〕 The Regiment amalgamated with the Northamptonshire Regiment to form the 2nd East Anglian Regiment in 1960.
